Good Vibes and Great Bites by the Sea

After months of virtual catch-ups, our team finally broke free from hibernation—stepping into the salty breeze for a long-overdue, face-to-face feast!

Set against the coastal charm of IL Corso, the evening was a refreshing mix of laughter, Filipino flavors, and the kind of conversations that just don’t hit the same over Zoom. It wasn’t just about the food; it was about reconnecting and remembering that some of the best team moments happen offline.

Here’s a peek at the seaside setting that brought everything together:

Now, onto where we had our team dinner! The place is called Chika-an—a name that, in Cebuano, translates to “a place to eat.” It’s a local favorite known for serving delicious and authentic Filipino dishes.

We kicked things off with their best-selling Crispy Pata (deep-fried pork leg), perfectly paired with a tangy soy-lime dip.

Next came comforting classics: Tinolang Manok (a traditional chicken soup with ginger, green papaya, and moringa leaves) and Monggo (mung bean stew).

We also enjoyed generous servings of Pancit (stir-fried noodles with pork and vegetables), Adobong Kangkong (water spinach sautéed in soy sauce, vinegar, and garlic), and buttery Baked Scallops.

And let’s not forget dessert—Camote (sweet potato) Rolls with cheese filling, paired with a scoop of refreshing mango ice cream on the side.

Of course, we made sure to capture our group photos before digging in—because once the food hit the table, there was no turning back. LOLS! To top it all off, everyone received special gifts in celebration of TG’s 18th anniversary—a perfect touch to an already memorable night! 🎉
